Panaceum: your one stop health shop
Geraldton boasted its outstanding primary care centre developed by the private sector with the official opening of Panaceum on 20 February, 2009.
The purpose built facility has been developed by local GP’s committed to Geraldton and provides clients with access to a wider range of health services in one convenient location, enabling better coordination of care for clients.
Holistic care
A health centre that offers comprehensive holistic care is a first for Geraldton, and one of the biggest in the state. Dr Ian Taylor: "It's a team approach - not just doctors, nurses and allied health professionals. It's about looking after the whole patient, not just parts."

What does the word 'Panaceum' mean?
Panaceum is derived from ‘Panacea’. In Greek mythology, Panacea was the goddess of healing. She symbolizes the power of treatment of all diseases. This brought about the concept of the panacea in medicine, a cure-all, either physical medication or a solution to a problem. Read more
Design of Panaceum
The design of the building features energy efficient clerestories with welcoming high ceilings and natural sky lighting. Panaceum’s entry statement will also feature the artwork of local artists. The idea is to provide local budding artists with the opportunity to display & promote their talent.
