Untitled, 2008
Ink, ecoline, bleach on rice paper
The Geraldton Medical Group currently features artworks that were created in series using different themes:
Flying Hands, WA 2006
The objects shown on these photos are made with simple latex gloves. One series with the tracks on the hands are inspired by the tracks found in Aboriginal paintings. For both series several beautiful beaches in WA formed the backdrop for these performances.
Dream Floaters, Netherlands, 2005
In 2005 Gera Woltjer worked with a group of artists. They actually made their dreams of art pieces to become true.
The artists made work that was directly inspired by their dreams.
These objects are inspired by a fascination with water and they are the results of experiments on the water surface. The objects are photographed floating on the dark water of a pond during winter in the Netherlands.
Seeds, pods and found shapes on beach 2008/2009
Gera Woltjer draws and paints using the seedpods and shells she has found around Australia and Geraldton as her inspiration. Some of these nature inspired works have recently been exhibited in the Netherlands. She uses a variety of different, often experimental, techniques to make her artworks.

Proudly United. Poinciana I, 2008
Graphite, colour pencils, felt pen, collage
Lifelines, 2008
The two large artworks are part of a series of six. They are painted on rice paper using a technique that allows ink to flow across the surface Gera controls and manages the current of ink with pencils and sticks allowing the different styles of music that she listens to to dictate lines and shapes until a sense of balance in direction, rhythm, forms and lines is reached. Finally a work of peace and balance is created.
